It’s All About The Kids
Ranch Park Kids Place is owned by Susan Lane and managed by Vicky Lane and Jen Gordon. We are located in the portables in the lower parking lot of Ranch Park Elementary School and we service Ranch Park Elementary, Baker Drive Elementary and Hillcrest Middle School.
Ranch Park Kids Place is a family owned and operated business and has been open since 1985. Kids Place began in a classroom at Ranch Park Elementary School and expanded to accommodate our growing community and now serves over 100 families.
Location Matters
Ranch Park Kids Place is located in a renovated portable complex on the grounds of Ranch Park Elementary School. In addition to the spacious & bright rooms of our building, we have access to the Ranch Park Elementary school gym as well as the school’s outdoor areas, including two age-appropriate play structures, ball diamond, large grass and gravel play fields, and a covered outdoor play area. We have our own smaller fenced safe play area for younger children. The nearby Mariner Park offers nature paths and a wooded area for exploration.
Meet Our Team
We are very proud of our staff. Many of our part-time staff are young adults who attended Ranch Park Kids Place when they were kids themselves – now enrolled in ECE and teaching programs, they have returned to Kids Place to provide the same caring atmosphere they experienced when they were young.
All of our staff have had criminal background checks, have 1st Aid certification and have experience working with children. In addition our Group Care and Pre School staff hold valid ECE licenses. Our current breakdown of staff is as follows:
- A Full Time Manager and ECE Manager
- Before & After School Care has 12 part time staff
- Pre-School has 4 ECE part time staff
- Group Care has 4 ECE staff & 1 ECE assistant

Sue Lane
Owner
Sue started Ranch Park Kids Place in 1985 and has been actively involved in the center community.
Vicky Lane
Centre Manager
Vicky has been the manager since 1997 and has completed the school and childcare program. Vicky works within the out-of-school care program and oversees the daily management of the center.
Jen Lane
ECE Manager
Jen has been with RPKP since 1996 and has received her diploma in Early Childhood Education. Jen works within the out of school care program, preschool and group care She oversees the daily management of the center.
